About Me

Hello all! I am so happy to be working here at OLPH! All of you have made me feel so welcomed. It is never easy coming into a new environment, so I want to thank you for making me feel so comfortable. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful support from our staff to our parents.

This is my second year teaching second grade. I love my job! I knew I wanted to be a teacher from a young age when I started teaching swim lessons (still do over summer breaks) for the City of Santa Clarita.  I was born and raised in this valley.

I received my BA in Child and Adolescent Development at CSUN in 2008. From there, I went to Cal State Bakersfield and got my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. When I graduated, there were very few jobs available in the elementary schools, so I went back to school where I started a Masters in Special Education. I got halfway through when I finally got hired by the Sulphur Springs School District in Canyon Country. I worked there in 2nd and 3rd grades. During my employment there, I acquired  some of the best training. Some of those trainings included: GLAD Strategies, Educreations, FrontRow, SmartBoard, Technology, ELD, and Cooperative Grouping. Due to budget cuts last year, I was laid off. Luckily, I applied for this position! Needless to say, I couldn’t be happier here. I am honored to support your students on this lifelong journey of knowledge and faithfulness. This year is going to be an amazing journey for your child’s Catholic faith as we experience First Holy Communion and Reconciliation together.
