How do I enroll after receiving PCS orders?
Contact the school office, and we will guide you through the enrollment process. We understand the unique needs of military families and will work with you to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Can my child begin school during the middle of the year?
Yes. We accept midyear enrollments based on space availability in the appropriate grade level. Please contact the school office to discuss your child’s specific situation.

Will previous school records transfer?
Yes. Once your child is enrolled, we will request academic records, report cards, standardized test scores and any other necessary documents directly from your child’s previous in-state or out-of-state schools.

How are students placed academically?
Student placement is based on previous academic records, teacher recommendations and, when appropriate, placement assessments. Our goal is to ensure each student is placed in the environment where they can be most successful.

Does OLPH assist with social adjustment?
Absolutely. We are committed to helping new students feel welcomed and connected. Teachers, staff and student ambassadors help new students build friendships and become part of our school community quickly.

Is tuition assistance available?
Yes. OLPH offers tuition assistance to qualifying families, including military families who may be eligible through programs such as the BASIC Fund or other scholarship opportunities. Please contact the school office for more information about available financial assistance.

Can uniforms be purchased after arrival?
Yes. Families may purchase uniforms after arriving. Our school office will provide information about approved uniform vendors and dress code requirements before your child’s first day.

How does the school support students experiencing deployment?
We recognize the unique challenges military families face. Our faculty and staff provide a caring, faith-centered environment, offer emotional support, maintain communication with families and work closely with students during periods of deployment or transition. Our principal, Dr. Lucie, is a former military spouse who served as a Family Readiness Group (FRG) Leader and Key Caller for her husband’s unit. She understands the unique challenges of military life and the deployment cycle and is well-equipped to support students and their families before, during and after a deployment. Through compassionate leadership and a deep understanding of military family experiences, she works closely with families to help ensure students feel supported academically and emotionally throughout each stage of the deployment process.

Are military families involved in PTO and school activities?
Yes. Military families are valued members of our school community and are encouraged to participate in the PTO, volunteer opportunities, school events and faith-based activities as their schedules allow.

Who should I contact before moving?
Please contact the school office or the principal, Dr. Lucie, before your move. We are happy to answer questions, assist with enrollment and help your family prepare for a successful transition to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School.
